Recommended maximum size dimensions for wall art:
Max width: 55 cm
Max height: 55 cm
Max weight: 50 kg
Size restrictions are in place so we can try and offer wall space to as many artists as possible. Please note these are guidelines, larger pieces will be considered if we are able to accommodate them.
If you have any larger pieces that you wish to submit, please contact us first so we can discuss and assess if we have available wall space.
Maximum size dimensions for sculptures:
There is no set maximum size or weight for sculpture, however we may contact you if work is especially large and heavy to discuss appropriate display requirements.
NOTIFICATION OF PARTICIPATION
There will be a screening process in place to protect DWD and the Charity MIND but most artists submitting will be exhibited.
The artists chosen pieces that will be displayed at the exhibition will be notified by email. Artwork must be handed in by the artist at the Create Centre during set dates in August which will be confirmed by email. If you are unable to hand in your artwork it must be sent by post or courier – details of where and when to send will be emailed to exhibiting artists.
Please price your artwork reasonably as the event and art sales are intended to raise money for charity and have to be affordable to the general public – we recommend between £20 and £300 for each artwork but this is up to the individual artists.
Our website will continue to exhibit any unsold art work, if they are not snapped up during the event, as we are sure people across the UK will be interested in buying it. Each individual artist has the option to collect any unsold artwork after the event or opt for us to sell on the website (we will add a 10% discount to any online sales).
THE SUBMISSION FEE
The fee goes towards helping pay for the venue and running costs of the exhibition also the marketing that we will be putting in to promote your work. Anything left over after these costs are covered will be going towards the donations to mind, we recommend you incorporate the cost into the price of your artwork so the fee is covered.
